Intake swap-352 2BBL
I know Edelbrock makes several for the 352 but all or for 4 BBL carb but none for the 2BBL. I would like to keep the 2 BBL on there but get rid of the weight of the
stock intake.(80lb) It is leaking now at the back and going to replace the gaskets.
Thanks,

of the split port. The autolite card on the truck is a non split port type 2BBL. The Edelbrock
2105 i original ordered and had to send back is a split port intake and only work with a 4BBL carb which he said they do not make a plate to convert it. He said that they do not make a intake for the 2BBL.
I cannot see why it will not work as long as the 2bbl seals properly but it's your money not mine. One thing about the 2100/4100 on after market intakes.....you need to use the Ford bakelite plate under it as 4100s and 2100s have a hollow bases and do not seal well with out the factory spacer.
vacuum lines plus a few other things. I am not really looking for more HP or gas mileage.
I just had the 2BBL carb rebuilt and did not want to put forth the $ and just use what i have.
I have to take the intake off for sure because of the leak problem so i was just trying to find
a lighter intake to go back on it without having to change a whole lot. I just can't find anyone
who makes one for a 2BBL.

The truck can handle the extra 40-50 lbs of the cast iron just fine. If you were looking to loose weight for a race car it might be different. Pull the intake, clean & add new silicon sealant and reinstall. Let the silicon harden some before resetting. You should be just fine.

I agree with John what are you trying to gain. You wont notice that extra 50lbs at all unless you are planning on removing and installing that intake continuously for some reason. It is not going to make a difference in any kind of gas mileage if that is your concern. Not much gain in performance. If anything I would look around for a cast iron 4 barrel or that aluminum one you are planning to use for slightly better mileage...... if you can keep your foot out of the back 2 throats. If it doesn't have headers on it yet then that is where your money will be better spent. Let that 2 barrel breath a little.
Not a fan of 'block off' plates, nor am I an authority on the topic, just seems to me there would be nothing to gain if one were to use a 'block off' plate unless able to obtain a 4 port manifold, which other than the cast iron intake I have not come across an alum. ported intake, their either dual, or open plane so what is the point. I would stick w/ current set-up, it's a truck, with current rear-end and transmission gearing may never get into the secondary jets; perhaps if it comes to having to rebuild may want to consider other options. Also, not sure there would be that much of an advantage going w/ headers if decide to stay w/ the 2bb set-up, suggest research topic.
the cast intake. Rent or borrow one if you don't have one.
Than put the funds that are burning a hole in your pants
into a set of headers and duel pipes. That will really wake
her up and get you better mileage as well.
