Tire size and type
Hello everyone, i have a 1993 F150 XLT and my tires are going bald after 50,000 miles. I think its time to change...especially when winter is on its way here in San Diego, California.
I don't have any money for a raise nor do i have any money for new wheels. But i need to change these tires. Right now my tires are "called" Steel Belted Radial ATR....so i don't know the manafacturer, but they have a similar tred design like some popular GENERAL tires. The size is the stock 30x9.5x15, or if some of u prefer...the 235/75R15's. I wanna try to put a different size on there.
Can any of u tell me if i can put 31x10.5x15's on here safely? The one inch increse in diameter prabobly won't do much to the speedo and if i can get the chance to lower the RPMs at highway speeds then...even better. But i don't want it to rub on anything or mess with any vital adjustments like camber or whatever....can any of u give me any insights to this problem and experiences of your own?
