Lifters

I think I have a bad lifter or slightly bent pushrod.Nice clicking sound drivers side second cylinder not sure if #3or4.Can you remove the lifter w/o removing the head?

Nope the head has to come off to get to the lifters. They have retainers that bolt down.

I guess you can't just take the valley off like a gasser to get to them. I have never been inside a PSD so forgive me.

lifters arent normal, most likely a rocker or a pushrod, easy fix if there is even a problem

Using a mechanic stethiscope i can hear the tapping loudest directlly over that cylinder. Will an injector that is worn badly tick?

yes an injector could make a lifter type noise. Pull the VC unplugg the injector and start it up. Noise gone, injector bad
