still trouble starting

well, after alot of concideration, i dont think my start-up prob is my oil. talked to local injection shop, and lucas, and no one thinks my start-up prob is in running lucas, but i'm gonna change oil today and run no lucas and see what it does. it will crank crank crank then fire, and die if i dont hold throttle pressure to it, and keep it about 1000 rpms. i'm at a loss of ideas. gp's were replaces a cuple years ago. there are no codes thrown, and i changed cps. any ideas? only does it when its been setting over night and its pretty cold. someone said maybe injectors?

Sounds like maybe taking awhile to build pressure either hpop of fuel.Check fuel pressure during cranking.Maybe disconnect icp not sure if you did these in past posts.

When it does die, is it harder to restart again?...

Have you tried it after plugging it in? I am still betting on oil though. Sounds like the cold weather Romps to me

My truck has been romping more lately. It sounds like that is typical in our trucks in the winter???

Mine Did The Same Thing. I Let It Sit For A Week And Went To Start It And It Just Didnt Want To Go. I Pluged It In For A Couple Hrs And She Fired Right Up With Heat.

shell 15-40 diesel oil. 2 qts lucas. dont do it plugged up i dont think. it throws no codes, as previously stated. i just dont know. some times when i get on her real hard empty she is a lil hesitant, and has a couple soft spots, but i figured it was due to auto tranny. IDK
