I looked at my turbo for the first time last night. It was clean with no play and spins good. Looks like the edge of a two of the fins have a couple very small dents in them.
I assume the term dusted turbo means a very obviously dirty turbo that has considerable damage to the blades.
That was great info, not helping my pedestal O-ring oil leak (accedent/crash related) "replace turbo" claim though. Seriously that was a huge help with the anatomy of the pedestal turbo relationship. Sweet I'm starting to understand these air sucking, powermakin, fuel useing/savin 7.3's.
