Mark Mossell has done a fantastic job researching and restoring his 55 Ranger. He believes it is probably the last one produced, even though Ford listed them through 56. They were so expensive, both to the buyer and to Ford, M-H, and Siebert in producing them, that declining sales spelled the end before the contract was fulfilled. I hope Mark finds it a good home, probably in a museum somewhere I'd guess. Stu

A lower price would also be better.

In my opinion no car should be in a museum, they should be driven as they where intended..... no matter how rare they are, otherwise I see it a a good waste of good fuctional parts.

Thats an awsome truck. If I had the money I would certainly buy it (and use it)

The asking price of this one does make Rod's Ranger look like a major bargain.

Jimmy, I agree they should be driven. Something like these though should be driven cautiously. I would think though, for $100K you can build a replica.

Hopefully a good buyer will be found to finish it out and give it a loving home.

Yep, too bad it isn't a 56. It would still be too expensive!

Would a van body like that be converted to an F600 cab and front fenders? Or are the F600 fenders bigger?

The F-600 fenders will have larger wheel arch openings to accommodate the bigger wheels and tires. The panel truck body would be the same as the F-600 body from the "B" pillar forward. Stu
