Well think I found some and have them on order. Problem is there is not much out there listed as 1997 F250 HD CC 4WD. I changed to F350 and that allowed me select the CC 4WD model. From there I was able to get the vendor number, go to their web site and download the installation Instructions, crawl under the beast and verify the mounting braket holes were indeed in the right places.
Now for the interesting part ... The front mounting bracket for the bar is connected to the front leaf spring rear shackel bolt, Arggg .. those bolts are turned the wrong way. The nut is facing towards the inside of the frame. Is there an easy way, without dropping the front end to remove that bolt and reverse it. I'm thinking of getting new shackel bolts and with the frame jacked up maybe use it to drive out the old so the nut end of the bolt will be facing out. A suspension expert I am not so any tips or tricks in this area are appreciated.
i would dremel around the bolt, not touching it....just cutting the boards off.
chances are VERY good that the new ones you buy will NOT use that bolt.
Created my gallery and put some pic's of the truck in, think I did it right. All new to me so may have to edit or redo. I'll wait until I get the nerf bars before I tear into this project. Will probably show up sometime next week. Will probably have to find some trim for weel wells, maybe not.
tj .. no problem, thanks to all for advice. Will post before and after pic's. Most diesels in southern Oregon are Dog's, my version Dodge Diesel. The paper if full of them for sale however I had a really hard time finding this Ford diesel truck ... Duh! Got it off a guy at work as he needed the money.
Again thanks for everyones suggestions .. they all did help me go in the right direction.
