B-W 1356 problem?
Hi, I have a 1990 f250 w/zf 5spd tranny and b-w 1356 t-case. I have no reverse in 2wd, just grinding when clutch is released, and some of my forward gears are starting to do the same thing. In 4wd hi and lo, I have no problems. I have replaced all clutch parts and transmission thinking that would fix it, but no luck! If anybody has had this problem or knows anything about it, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is that with the hubs locked??? Try it unlocked to cancel the front drive axle...If it moves, it is in the transfercase, not the rearend.....I rebuilt my 1356 and had to take it one step further than the new parts...my shift lever SHAFT PASSAGE IN THE CASE was oversized from ware and I had to make a bushing to get the internal gear selector to properly aline the internal gears..
