Oh yeah. In fact the first use I have found for the Carter YF is in a 1940
Motor's Manual that shows it used on the 1938 Buick Special. And it does
look different from the one a friend had on a 1962 Rambler, which is of
course different looking than the one on my 76 Maverick. But they all
operate the same. It was used until 1988 on Ranger's with the 2.0 motor.

I found a metal tag screwed to the carb. It was labeled, like this:

I did a quick Google search on this and the only thing that would turn up anything is a Motorcraft e5te-da carb that was for sale at one point (Google cache) for this same model truck. So does this mean this isn't the stock carb and it's an aftermarket carb? Just curious.
