Column Shifter Alignment
Just picked up a '96 F150 a few weeks ago, and would like to know how to realign the column shifter to match the gear indicator. It's a little to the right, so when it's in D it looks like it's in 2nd. I've seen this on older trucks before, but never knew how to correct it.
Any help would be appreciated,

theres a white cable that comes from the left side of the instument cluster. it wraps around the steering column halfway and connects to the shifter on the right. at this connection, there is a screw that you can adjust with your thumb to get it aligned.
