94 tailgate can't get open

Angry 94 tailgate can't get open
cant get the tailgate on my 94 f150 open. the right side latch appears to be broken.

Take the rectangular panel off the inside of the tailgate near the top (torx screws I think) and pull the latches manually.

Or just use a sledgehammer. Just kidding. I had to put on a missing latch after my safety noticed it and did the whole taking the panel off thing super suggested. Good luck.
