Not sure why your front end would shake while it's locked in 4x4? Don't believe any X's came out with LS or locker's up front.

i have been told the problems with the auto lockers is lack of use...
they should be switched on once a month as part of your routine maint. and you will not have trouble with them... not neccesary to dirve far just to engage and disengage them...
i have no idea if this is true...
but it seemed to make sense to me...
