The v10 takes 6 quarts of oil. I think the best oil is Royal Purple syn 5w20. I use to use Mobil 1 syn 5w20. With the Mobil 1 i used about a quart and a half of oil every 3k. Now that i switched to royal purple syn 5w20 i use about a half of quart of oil every 3k miles. If ur looking to use royal purple then u can buy it at Advanced auto parts for 7 dollars a quart. How many miles does ur truck have on it?

Mine takes 6.5 quarts. I'd say Mobil 1 is the best.

I started with 6 and it was not to the full mark. Plus, whoever owned it before me had written 6.5 quarts on the radiator shroud.

Seems like every body likes either Mobil1, Amsoil, or Royal Purple for their oil

Hes right, those are for the people that like the high end oil. Most v-10 users like the motorcraft non syn oil and like it fine. But for the people that are **** about their oil use the stuff that aortizexcursion pointed above (that would be me to).
