c6 rebuild
as most of you know my bronco has been sitting for the past couple of months with a transmission that only goes in reverse. i've decided that i'm going to attempt to do a rebuild on my own. I already ordered the haynes rebuild manual.
basically I want to know what I should buy to make this thing perform and last for a long time with mainly offroad duties. I'm running a stock 400, and i doubt i'll ever upgrade the engine much, so its not making much power.
what do you guys think about manual valve bodies?
just lookin for some tips/advice...

Ive always heard that if you can rebuild a ford transmission you can do anything. Hell I cant even get bubble gum some DOM together to make my truck steer. What do I know?
