so If I put my 390 crank into my 352 would that fit like a 360? I know still wouldn't be a 390 since the 352 has a smaller bore.

It would be a 380 but I don't know if you could come up with a piston and rod combination to make it work.

I might be able to come up with a 390 block if you want to go that way Ryan.. I know I would to gain power, it`s the same rebuild cost with the probably the same fuel mileage.

No but thanks, guess kinda want to stick with the 352. Me and my semi driver teacher went through this whole debate 352 vs. 390 for a week straight.

There is no pro`s and con`s, it`s 390 all the way!
It`s like messing with a 260 when you can have a 302 for the same price.

A 1965 352 and a 1965 390 from a car ok, BUT a 352 from 65-67 can very reasonably blow a 1972+ 390 motor.

interesting. i have no experience with either of these engines except for driving a '73 f150 with a 390...loaner from my mechanics shop. really nice truck with a sweet sound!!
