Okay, new problem. I tried to put my Hazards on the other day and only the left side would blink. What should I look at first, I am not sure even where to start to fix this issue. I would assume the first thing would be the connection for the right side but where would you find that. Do I have to pull the steering column apart? Too many questions, not sure what to do to fix this. It isn't a major issue but an irritating one.
Does your right rear brake light work? Do your right side turn signals work? If they don't, you have a wiring/ground problem - possibly a corroded connector. If the do work, the multifunction switch is your likely culprit. Good luck.
All lights function correctly except the hazards, and they suddenly started working properly last evening. I will put the multiswitch on the list of things to replace. Thanks.
When you turned on the hazards was your turn signal lever up or down? If I remeber correctly if the turn signal is enabled and the truck is off the flasher won't active if you depress the brake or turn the hazards on.
Well, I was on the side of the road after my wife had an accident and put the flashers on and only the left side would flash. Blinker switch was not engaged. This happened for several days, then I put the flashers on at home one evening and the worked fine. I did not have the clutch or brakes engaged in either scenario. I am also having problems with my wipers coming on at random times. Nothing more than an inconvenience, but still it isn't normal. I do believe that I will check the relays first. Then work toward the multiswitch. I am going to have to replace my cruise control buttons as well. So I might wait until I get all the parts then try to fix both at the same time. I bought this truck recently and have already had to fix the a/c (warm days down in South Texas) change out an O2 sensor, fix the cat, put new rubber on the road and fix the brakes. It almost appears to me the previous owner wasn't into normal maintenance, so I guess I just better be prepared for all sorts of little to large issues. This is my new daily driver as the F350 burned too much diesel at 66 cents a gallon more than gasoline.
