Ok i have a 98 ranger 4wd and i want a suspension lift. im lookin at about 3 or 4 inches but i having extreme difficulty* finding one. all the ones i find at decent prices are for a 97 or lower. whats the difference in the two years and does anybody have any sugestions or know of anything at a good price?
yeah...the 4wd A-armed rangers have kinda gotten left out in the cold. it comes down to price...if you're willing to drop the cash...dixon bros is the way to go...
on the cheap(er) side, tough country, RCD and superlift are the only companies that make kits.
Try camburg, as well. They tend to be on the expensive side, but like Dixon Bros, they put out a superior product....
The 98 and up 4x4 rangers have torsion bar front suspention instead of coils, You can level the truck by cranking the torsion bars, that will allow you to run up to a 33" tire. About the cheapest 4" lift kit is by superlift and it's a round 1,500.00$, thats about as good as it gets money wise. Torsion bar suspention is a bit more complicated than coils, is why they cost more to lift.
