I have a 1986 f250 4x4 with a 460 and a C6. I was recently informed that I did not have any brake lights or hazards lights in the back of the truck. First thing i check was the Fuses and they were all fine. I have rewire the grounds on the truck rear of the truck . the weird thing is the hazard lights work on the front of the truck and when i hit the brake pedal the hazards light in the front stop flashing and go to a solid light. i cant seem to figure out what the problem is. I am trying to find were the stop light and hazard light connect to each other. does anyone have any ideas on how i can fix this or ideas. anything would be great
everything for the lights back there goes through the turn signal switch, so thats a logical place to start looking. do the turn signals themselves work? if yes, that proves the bulbs and wiring back there are good and still points toward the switch
Yes the turn lights work. I will check it out tomorrow. Is there a connector that plugs in to engine bay from switch to go to the back of the truck or is there the only one that goes to the back just behind the bumper
Solved the problem. I found that the little copper wire under the turn switch was not touching the one side of the connection. Which was not sending the signal.
