I have read good things about both units. I would like to hear some feedback from people that have them in their trucks now. Do you liek them and sould you recomend buting one.
I can't complain about my DashHawk. It's nowhere near as flashy or feature loaded as the DashDaq, but for less than half the price of the DashDaq, the DashHawk is a great unit.
I use an Interceptor and I like it. Its even less flashy then both of the aforementioned units. You get what you pay for. I just wanted to be able to get a few values without buying and installing four or five separate gauges.
If I ever do get a nav system, it will be a separate unit anyways as I would want a much larger screen size then can offer on the Dashdaq.
i've seen the dashdaq and i've played with it a bit, it does so much more. plays videos etc..
usb ports, card inputs, upgradeable, programmable,
change screen themes and make custom ones.
it's basically a mini computer with a hard drive and an operating system.
I am really happy with my Dashhawk also. I've already got a DVD player and navigation installed so I wouldn't use that on the DashDaq anyway, and like the others mentioned the Dashhawk is much cheaper. I have been told that MSD finally has the EGT kit in stock, and we are just waiting for it to be added to their website for sale. I would anticipate it running about $100 as that is what Edge is charging for the one that works with the Insight, and they are pretty much the same thing.
BTW you might want to look into the Edge Insight as it is pretty much the same thing as the Dashhawk, but with a little less memory and datalogging capabilities (but the EGT kit is available now).
Keep trying to get Matt. Talked w/ him yesterday and he was a couple hours away from his shop tending to some r & d on some parts and he had limited email and net access the largest part of the day.

You'd be very pleased w/ the DashDaq.

hey amp what ended up being the issue at SSS on the dyno, was it the egr cooler after all ?? have you guys got it all put back together now /??
It was the EGR, even though the up-pipe had it deleted.
X is still up there. The high stall t/c from PI took a little longer than expected to get and as you know its easy to start adding things to your project
