Heh, I was just about to ask about that bracket (gotta love the instructions for those kits).
The only place I can think of for it is where the cable-sheath ends at the frame (can't remember now if it's at the cab support or the radius arm mount). It looks like the bracket is supposed to bolt up there & raise the cable-end point up above the frame, though I haven't tried it yet.
The cable looks long enough anyway, bracket or not...
Yeah, that's what it was for. I just ran one of the small bolts included in the kit through the old p-brake cable hole and attached the cable to the bracket. Piece of cake, and the cable looks a little more comfortable than it would have been.
While putting the blocks on the front cab mounts, I noticed that on one mount there was about a 5/8in factory shim in place... is that much difference normal?
