Now guys, lets not give the tornado too much of a hard time Those rice burner fellers swear by them
After all, what better way to improve performance by impeding airflow to your engine? I mean, decreasing the cross-sectional surface area of my intake is first on my list to gain this mythical 10 horse!
By this logic, I think I am going to put a beercan in my exhaust to make more back pressure and increase torque.
Diesels lookout, the gasser with a beercan stuffed up its *** is tearin up the streets
[QUOTE=thedaddycat]How about the Turbo Air Guide? It has that "honeycomb" that's supposed to straighten out air flow in the turbo inlet for better flow with less trubulence.
Do a search in the 7.3 forum. A retired engineer that goes by the name "ernesteugene" swears it works. Warning: be prepared to read very long, detailed threads from ernest.
Oh and for what it's worth, saw an online article once where they put a Tornado on a 2.3L Ford Ranger and lost 3-4 mpg.
Must have installed the thing backwards. Put the Tornado on an 8 cyl and lose 6-8 mpg. So, put on a 12 cyl and get no mpg? Hmmmm.
I had a Ranger with the 4 cyl, manual trans, towed a very small trailer. Traded-in for a very good price. Took my new F150 for a bed cap the next day and saw an old couple putting a cap on my old Ranger. Underpowered, but a could carry a 1K+ load in the bed.
