turbo vibration?
I have a nasty vibration upon light throttle, starts out at 1500rpm. It sounds like a loose heat shield type rattle but is definately coming from the turbo area. The vibration continues untill the turbo really gets going and then the noise lessens. Nothing is loose ie. pipes downtubes etc... My 2005 F350 has already had one turbo at 11k miles and it only has 18k miles on it now. I brought it to the dealer and they told me the turbo is fine, its building boost etc.. and not to worry. Is this a sign my turbo is going again or is it something else?

Mine was making a nasty grinding noise at low rpms recently and I thought it was the turbo. After checking it out I found out one of the flex joints on the y-pipe was cracked and making the noise. So I would recomend to look at all the exhaust and intake tubing just check around make sure everything is tight.
