is it just me or are new trucks getting ugly?

i think the new superduty looks a lot better with the grill painted the body color instead of chrome, it looks pretty good then.
the new chevy is just dog ugly, what were they even thinking with that design.
the new tahoes look pretty darn good i think. but i never have been a fan of chevy designed, not anything after 1972 at least.
i have heard people say no one copies off another, but i find it hard to beleive that it is a coinencedence that they all evolve into the big grill type look on their own. i think fear of being left out makes the companies conform to an almost hidden set standard among some models, especially highly competive ones like trucks.
the dodge i think is the best looking new truck on the market right now, the 4x4 that is, i think the 2 wheel ones with the stupid spoiler on the back are goofy looking.

Right now, I think the 08 Superduty is the best looking truck on the road ATM. The Dodge Ram is second, and I guess the Chevy is third.
The new Tundra has got to be one of the uglier trucks on the road. That and the new Dakota. Way to screw up a sharp looking mid sized truck that you could get a V8 and a stick in.

Yep, all getting ugly. (get rid of the 3 bar grille thing on the trucks)
all looking the same.
go and buy an 88, it looks the same as the 09 F150.
I bet you can save many many dollars too.
I think my 07 Explorer is the best looking so far, as far as Explorers go.
I still like 79s and 84-86 F150s the best too.

The pregnant 2008 Silverado copied the wide opening rear doors (saying..why didn't anyone think of this before?) on their extended cab, the "all new" cargo management system, the pontoon style fenders, and the sloping windshield from the 2004 Titan. The Chevy's so-called new EZ up/down tailgate was offered on F150's in 2004 and Titans in 2005.
The GMC Yukons touted their "all new innovative" sliding roofs when introduced several years ago. Studebaker offered one in 1963/66.
The so called Dodge Mega-Cab is 2 cubic inches larger than the Titan Crew Cab.
Some ppl like the front end of the 2008 GMC, prolly because it resembles the last generation of Ford Super Duty's.
GM, when Alfred Sloane was prez and Harley Earl was in charge of design, was the acknowledged industry leader in styling and engineering from 1924 thru 1959.
GM has become nothing more than Copy-Cat Motors in recent years.
If you can't beat 'em...join 'em.

i think the period of time between the early 70's and early 90's was just plain horrible in terms of car design. not everything but most things.
but i love the 60's muscle cars and the trucks. i still think the 1971 chevy truck i had is one of the best looking trucks ever made.
