[QUOTE=wizzard351]if that 429 has dove heads thats the one id get,i personaly have run both 429's and 460's my prefrence is the 429 any day over the 460. ya i no itll be less torqey but it seems to me they rev up quiker being a shorter stroke.
The C9VE casting number was only used 1969/70...prolly hard to find.
The D1VE-6015-AB casting number spawned two bare blocks:
D1VZ-6010-A used from model year 1971 till 1/13/75 cars & trucks.
D5TZ-6010-B used from 1/13/75 thru 1978 on cars & 1/13/75 thru midyear 1979 on trucks.
D1VZ-6010-A was also used as a service part replacement for 1968/70's (except CJ & S/CJ).
I dont understand what are u talk about this. All I got this info from barretengine.com I might get that block not sure which one 460 to get one. Dont give me hard one. I just want find things simple and easy to start built!
i cant give away all my secrets but if ya look back at the pic top rite corner youll see a stainless braided hose thats for an extra 200hp, NOS what a wonderful thing!! realy tho the bottom end of the motor is pretty much stock other then forged flat top pistons and its got a pretty healthy hydralic cam

The information I typed above is from FORD MOTOR COMPANY!
I'm telling you what 429 & 460 engines Ford used in cars & trucks from 1968 thru 1979, and what those engines will be found in what models.
I'll make it simple. I'll butt out and you can get the info from others.
I hope you don't need any part numbers....cuz you won't get them from me.
See how many other ppl on FTE have parts catalogs, and are willing to take the time typing all this crappola. The list is a short one..you can count them on one hand.
I'm through with this thread, and through trying to help you.

Allright. I just want to make sure all see if it will work any model of 460 engine for me to built. Do I need to get all rotating assembly or what exactly I really need to built to make 450-500 hp and may want run with nitrous sometimes. It is VERY hard to explain you from my deaf communicate. I always want simple thing and which one I can get the block of 460 Some people say can run stock crank, just change rods, piston and head work. get nice cam, intake to make more power. I just want fairly price to spend.

U run roller cam? Have you do heads work? How much horsepower on your motor made?
Hello, Listen I think yall not understand what exactly I WANT. I dont know how to explain to you anymore. I just cant run stock rods and piston it WONT make 450hp or more. Do you understand. Thats why eachtime I kept ask and ask you what size for rod and piston to get bigger and to be forged! I dont know if yall not understand from me. Just forget it. I need find person who help me to do detail with motor what I need things parts and aftermarket list to built. Thanks!
I beg to differ. I ran stock rods, crank and block for 8 years and made 500 hp easy. This is what I would do if I were you. Since you want to make power but not spend much money clean up, bore and hone a stock block. Keep your dove heads and get the machine work done on them(cleaned, big valves, etc) port them yourself (I did at age 16). Get some pistons (diamond, SRP, whatever) and stock rods (they are fine for 450 hp). A nice cam (crane will make one to your specs) and a holley dp. Should make enough power for ya. As for the person wyo help you to do detail with motor, call a machine shop, that is why they are in business. Thanks!

That one what I am interest. Wow I would like to run 500 hp and maybe put nitrous 150 shot will be on on stock motor? Do I need to get 429 dove put on 460? How about 2x4 intake mainfolod to set up two of 4 barrels carbs or just run one of 4 barrels carb?
I would just run on carb. Probably around 850-1000 cfm. I would also got with an Edelbrock Victor 460 intake. It has spots to drill for nitrous already. Nitrous is great for power but hard on parts.
Hello again. I re-search on block again today EVERYTHING I check and all I got numbers.
I want to know where this come from truck or car what model?
1973 (460)
Head- D3ve-A2A
Valve Cover- D3VE-9C485-KA
Block- DIVE-A28 or A2B It seem worn out..
Intake Mainfold- D3VEA or B
I want to know where it come from? So I can find right parts like pulley, balance, etc as aftermarket intake, header easy to swap. I wonder it will fit in 1969 Ford F100?
Sorry it was my fault. I didn't pay attention to find right forums to thread. Can't change it. Is anyone able to help me out which I could get engine like I just send you info today?
