I'm workin' on a 91 f-150 5 liter. For some reason I can't get the quick disconnect fittings to come loose! I've bought several different tools that are specifically made to get 'em off and they don't work. I've tugged and pulled and the lines just won't budge. Is there some sort of trick to this? Help please!
Sometimes they get corroded on making them difficult. Try spraying some WD40 or lubricant like PBBlaster on it and let it soak for a while, then try it again. You have to use the special tool or they won't come off.
I can't help u on your question,but I'd like to ADD a question here,if I might.
I need to adapt the efi fuel lines into a braided type with an fittings.i'm switching from efi to a carbed tunnel ram which means I need to run a bypass type regulator. How do I adapt the fuel line to this? Anyone????
After you let it soak in the pb blaster or whatever, spray it out again to get the loose junk out. Then when you try to use the tool, push the fitting together as you insert the tool.
