What you all got as rain at lower elevations will be all snow when it gets here.
Where I am at, just west of the eastern continental divide works just like it does for you all on the west coast.
Higher elevations to the east, moisture moving in from the west, cold air moving down from Canada picking up moisture from the Great Lakes to refuel the storm.
Just checked the radar, looks like that srorm is about 70 miles west of me right now.
Looks like the lake effect moisture and cold air may stay north of me this time.
We've been under level three mandatory water restrictions for two months. Our local lake is down five feet. Lakes upstream from us are down as much as eight plus feet. Winters are pretty dry here, so we don't expect much help until spring.
One thing about the good ole Ohio Valley here in KY. Give it a minute, The weather will change. And there is some Mn. guys down here complaining about the cold. I tried to tell them but they didn't believe me.
