Well I made it back, at 5:30 AM this morning.
We had the snow turn to freezing drizzle at midnight, made for some heavy snow to push.
Now if I can make it through 2 days of posts all will be well.

good for you dave. we got less than 1/16 of an inch here.

and i hope it stays that way. the 4 sanders went out at 9 pm, and got in at 7 am.

anymore i feel snow is a 4 letter word, and should not be said or allowed.

11.5 hours was enough for me, that is the most I have plowed in two years.
I don't know what I would do if we got another storm like we had in 2003.

About 32" and I never got out of my truck for two weeks other than a leak and more coffee.

You all would have to much fun if I was gone that long though.

Cold weather and snow hmmm well I Love it! Finally get to plow make some extra cash go snowmobiling. But the best part is just listen to people complain about it. If it wasn't here we would never appreciate summer. I used to hate winter and the more I complained it seemed to take longer to go away. But one winter I decided to go and do a winter sport "snowmobiles". Now I cant wait for winter to come. I have plowed snow since I was old enough to drive now it can produce cash and burn a little too........... Instead of the Natural Gas Bill. Plus it is amazing how many "Friends" I have when their driveway needs a push but they cant be found if I need a hand with something.

It's an excuse to break equipment so you can enjoy fixing it better than it was...

I like winter, I like to plow snow, I like to go skiing.

Winter,
When it is cold, you can put more cloths on.
In the summer when it is hot, you can only take so many off, usually not enough to make you comfortable.

Plowing snow,
Plowing snow is a good excuse to go running around looking at over skilled drivers in cars trying to do things physically impossible.
Example 1: drive a two wheel drive car in 20" of snow, it just won't work.
Example 2: Watch the kid in the Toyota 4x4 try to drive through the 4 foot wall of plowed snow left by the snow plow guys, that don't work either.
Also a good test of how well your truck can go, or a good reason that you need that posi rear end when you tell the wife you are spending 500 dollars on your truck. Also works for new tires, new lights and tons of other mods.

Snow skiing,
The only way I can go 70 MPH without having my old bones parked on a motor of some type.

The cash is also handy to have rolling in when the weather is to bad to play in the dirt.

Well Dave, after spending 10 hours inside a cubicle fixing the bugs in someone else's software, I kind of envy you...but only a little when it's snowing.
