Floor pan replacement

Hi, now that winter is here, I need to replacement my floor on my 84 F-150 4X4. Both sides are rusted all the way to the rocker panel. My rocker panels are in good shape (replaced 3 years ago). my question is, if I was to purchase floor pans will it cover all the way to the rocker panel or do I need to get "outer floor pan" too? anyone done this before? anyone order these parts online. i'm not looking for any fancy just need it to last for a while.

Also what would you recommend I do once they are install? Sealer, prime? paint?

THANKS

Steve

A replacement floor panel should go all the way over to the rocker panel, but to be sure you should ask the vendor selling them. After the floor pan is installed you should prime, paint, and seam seal any seams to prevent water/salt from getting between the metal. You should either weld in the panels or use a panel adhesive to make this type of repair.
