wd 40 doesnt work for fishing anymore used to have fishoil in it but thay toke it out but i bet most of us have a can of it somewere mr proud48 i'm glad you got your bolts out
Me Too!! I now have the whole body off, motor and trans out and even found out why it was parked by the PO. I pulled the valve covers and found the tip of a vale with the retaining clip siting there. hope the valve didn't do too much damage to the pistyon or cylinder wall, I'd like to at least have it for a core.
wd sure will do a number to lock cylinders, dunnoo how many cylinders i've changed on customers cars, the solvent action of washes the proper lube outta em' & just turns em' to white powder.

One trick that has worked for me to loosen rusted bolts is one I read in an old truck magazine a while back (can't remember which though, its been a while). But heat up the nut to near red hot and then rub paraffin wax on it (yes, the stuff used for canning and candle making). The melted wax quickly penetrated the rust and acts as a lubricant for the metal and anytime I've tried it the bolts turn right out. Only problem is that if you not careful the wax may ignite, so wear gloved when your doing this... I've only had a few "small" fires...
