If your gonna look at it that way, IMO i think the 6.4 is more like the 6.0 with the problems fixed.

I have nothing against the 6.4 they seem to be ok so far.

But comparing the records of the 6.4 to the early 7.3 is like comparing apples and oranges!

Comparing the 6 liter to the early 7.3's is a little more fair, and the 6.4 to the later model 7.3's is fair.

The later 7.3s would win that one though, they are a rock solid time tested engine.
Time will only tell if the 6.4 liter will be, and Im sure they will do just fine!

I love my 6.4 compared to my 88 7.3 and my 00 7.3 and 06 6.0 that i no longer have. Dont get me wrong i liked them all. Never had probs with any of them.

Thats great! My father has a 91 7.3 and I really like that thing. I love the way it sounds over my 03 7.3.

How do the 6.4's sound? prety good?

Quiet, you usually forget its running and grind the starter.
My friend has a duramax and it will drown out my 6.4

Im not sure if quiet is such a turn on for me or not! I do like the sound of the diesel engine, but I dont mind traveling down the road and having no engine sounds.
