I was wondering if any one can tell me if my axels on my 95 150 ttb will pull right out of the diff to do the u joints or if I have to take the diff cover off and do something inside? Im really hoping I dont have to open it because it apears it would be quite a job to get in it. Also what joints should i get and where can I find them?
first of all....there is no diff cover....well the ibeam itself....but no, they pull right out, well the short side comes all the way out, the long side is like a 2 peice unit but to change the ujoint you only the need the outer peices....
unless you are puttin a new ujoint on the slip yoke on the passenger side then you dont have to worry about it drivers side pulls out passenger side pulls out of the slip yoke but the slip yoke is on a shaft that is held into the diff with a c-clip. dont really have a suggestion on which joints to get i have just always replaced mine with the percision ones from napa but you could also get the spicer ones from bronco graveyard just make sure which ever ones you get they are greasable
Thanks guys I was hoping that would be the case. I realize there is no real cover but I didnt know how else to state it. Thats exactly why I was hoping I didnt have to get in there.
