i was just wondering if any body here has ever replaced the u joints in the ttb ,and how much of a PIA it is to do.the one closest to the front diff just spit out the needle bearings and i have to replace it,and i figure i might as well replace them all.any ideas how to's ,short cuts would be very helpful. thanks Brian.

well i did some more searching and it does not seem to be as bad as i thought,i'll have to replace the inner u joint while it's in the truck,but i've got a tool to do that.I'll post pics when i'm done and put it in the tec tips section.thanks again there guys.

here are some pics of the passenger side ttb u joint replacement.
here's the wheel removed
this is the locking hub removed
this is the spring clip that holds the locking hub assembly in,there is another on the axle as well.
here's the spindle nut
here's the tool to remove the lock nut and bearing nut.
i kept every thing in order in a tray to make assembly easier.

couldn't remove the the yoke's for the center u joint so here's the tool i used to remove the u joints while the yoke was in place.if you do this get this tool makes the job a lot easier.
here's the center yoke in place,not much room,but that toll does fit
took me about 4 hours to do the passenger side,waiting on parts to do the driver side will post more pics,but should be the same as the passenger side minus the center u joint.
