Well that went well. Plug came out on second try. Never found it. Great info tony, thanks, i would never have tried that on my own, out of fear for what damage could happen. another one got stuck on the drivers side. that one took a while. probably about ten go arounds of running the engine and then tapping the element with a punch. unlike the first one, this one still had the cylinder sealed off enough to make compression and fire. when this one came out, BANG!! it was actually the firing of the cylinder that blew it out whereas the other cylinder wasn't firing and just the pressure popped it out. i highly recomment this, but PLEASE be patient, and if you have the means and time, you should probably just pull the injector or the head. i was getting pretty frustrated and my fingers cramping up holding the punch. i had to discipline myself from getting mad and wailing on that plug with a hammer, which probably would have sent the plug into the cylinder. oh, dont leave the ratchet on the alternator that you used to bar the engine over when you start it. that's twice in two years i have done that to an engine and both times i was lucky that it didn't detroy anything. next time i think my number is probably up. thanks tony
