Excuse me for interrupting, but what is "quench".?
Also, IF installed other heads, will the CHI heads be (a lot) better as the aussie's?

Quench is a process where the flame front of the combustion is squeezed into a small space and will no longer support itself. This process prevents detonation in a high compresssion engine. Some 351C-4V heads have quench combustion chambers, as do the Aussie heads. Alll aftermarket heads have quench chambers.

CHI heads have fast burn chambers, and are aluminum alloy. They will allow compression ratios that are higher than any iron head.
