My truck is one of the very few that have not seen a mileage increase. I just received my new general street economy with the EGR enabled. I am looking forward to seeing if this is the magic tune. Either way, I am happy I purchased it. I will report back next week when I see what the new tune brings. THANKS SPARTAN FOR THE NEW TUNE!!!
Hey Matt, If you read this, would the aggressive street file with the egr enabled show better mileage results than the general street economy if driven with a light foot?
Just an update on the EGR- On, general economy tune- Never have I had any mileage improvements with either the SCT I have now or the Superchips I had in the past, UNTIL NOW!!!!!!!. I loaded the new general economy file and went from a high average of about 13 mpgs previously, to 14 city on my last tank and I just went on a 250 mile trip today and got just over 15.5 mpg mostly highway. This is hand calculated and filled to the brim. Averaging about 70 - 72 mph. I feel good after about 36,000 miles of obsessing over mileage numbers. THANK YOU SPARTAN! I know this will not make me rich, but it's a mind thing!

Why would you want to have the EGR turned on? Won't this cause problems down the road?

My engine must be starting to break in at about 13000 mi. my milage jumped from 12.5 to 13 city up to 14 to 14.5 city and that is on the stock tune waiting for matts new egr on general econ to try it out. Is he also changing the aggressive street? as that tune drove my milage way down, ran great but the milage dropped to about 9.5 city and that was babying it.

I have been running Matt's mild street economy tune for around 1500 miles now. This is how my mileage has turned out so far.
Stock-11-13 - city
-13-15 - hwy

SCT and full MBRP exhaust w/ cat still in.
-12-14.5 - city
-14.5-17 - hwy

These numbers were in late fall in South central kansas, before winter fuel hit. My hwy miles are now around 15-16 which is still an improvement. I also try to keep it under 2200 rpm all the time, and also drive at or less than 70. I also run 8 oz. of powerservice (white bottle in winter, silver in summer) in every tank of fuel. The mileage increase is not life changing, but with 3.50 diesel every bit helps, and the performance gains are nice. I am thinking about running the hybrid race file for 1000 miles to see the mileage there, but I will wait until the snow season is over. It was slick out the other day and I had a heck of a time not throwing her sideways at the slightest touch of the pedal.

I have been running the Hybrid tune and my average was 12.7 mpg! I have had a hard time not keepin my lead foot from mashin the throttle at every light. I am trying to be a bit more reserved on this next tank. We will see what happens.

Hey Matt!

I am still running ASE and I'm getting about 17-18 mpg mixed freeway and city. That's with me mashing the loud pedal everyday.

why is the 6.0 such a fuel hog...I hate to bring up the D word but the duramax my old man owns gets 19-20 (it's an 06 crew 4x4). I am only seeing around 13-14 on the highway (also due to winter blends now).

Do you have to install EGT Gauges and Boost Gauges to run an SCT Programmer?

Yes, it is recommended to have an EGT. No need for a boost if you don't want it. The factory one is fairly accurate.
