My original Cooper tires cupped badly and were noisey.. They were balanced with the proper air pressure. A couple of years ago i switched to michelins and no more cupping.. Did not change anything else..
Mine are wearing on the inside really bad. Thought shocks may be the culprit, but it looks as it may be a camber issue. How does one fix that? Is that a huge deal to fix?
No, not really if you have an alignment machine big enough to check these trucks. Only two here in this town. I believe the camber is preset at the factory and rarely changes, but if it needs changing, they use plates that you have to buy. Kinda like a shim. Another problem could be your toe setting. That is super easy to adjust but without the alignment equipment you have no idea what you are doing.

Pretty close......
The front axles on these trucks (the 4 wheel drive ones) are considered "monobeam". That is the technical term for solid front axle. If you need a camber adjustment and the ball joints (what pivot between the axle tubes and the knuckles) are not worn, then the ONLY way camber can change is if the axle tubes themselves are bent. If camber is off, either the ball joints are bad or the axle is bent.
Correction for this condition requires a bushing located in the hole for the upper ball joint on each side of the axle. The bushings use an offset, angled hole through the middle that locates the upper ball joint stud in a different location to change caster and camber.
once your tires have begun to cup...or any other bad wear pattern. It's pretty much impossible to eliminate the damage done already. They will continue to wear in the bad pattern started. Been told this by a couple different tire guys.......not salesmen trying to sell me more tires haha
