Has anyone run into problems with their tires cupping? Mine started about 2 months ago. I found the ball joints were shot and replaced them, alignment, rotated the tires, blah blah... Now, the good ones, are starting to cup as well. I just jacked it up and checked everything, it's all tight. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?? 2000 F350 4x4. 285-75-R16's.
I had some tire wear problems and initially thought low tire pressure was the culprit. However, a front-end allignment mechanic suggested new shocks. New Belsteins seem to have corrected my wear problem.
Thanks for all the input. I was leaning twords shocks. It has the Reflex shocks on it now (bought it with em). It sounds like Bilstiens are the favorite around here. I have Edlebrock IAS's on my 89 f250 and love em. So I was kind of leaning that way. But Bilstiens seem to be around $62each and the Edlebrocks are $75 each. I think I may give the Bilstiens a try.
Auto Zone has them for $69.99. Not as cheap as eshocks or shockwarehouse but they have a life time warranty. If you have a problem you can just go back to AutoZone and not have to ship a bad shock back to supplier. I ordered them yesterday morning and they called me at noon today to come pick them up. They are on the truck already.
That sounds great except that color is absolutely not working for me. If they don't come in a different color, I may have to paint them and that ought to void any warranty.
Mine are wearing on the inside really bad. Thought shocks may be the culprit, but it looks as it may be a camber issue. How does one fix that? Is that a huge deal to fix?
