I need to replace the water pump on my 94 mazda B3000 and wanted to know how difficult that would be. Do I have to pull the engine to do so? Do I need a pulley puller to get the fan pulley off?
Well kinda, since my wife did 95% of the work. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...waterpump.html
will answer most of your questions. Just remember to put the shroud over the fan before reinstalling the radiator.
She didn't, but as the snow is flying, that is something I'll deal with come spring.
Its not tough at all considering I dug deeper than that to access and replace my timing set. As long as you realize there's at about 3 or 4 bolts that you CANT see on the little frame dealy that the idler/tensioner pulleys, a/c pump, and p/s pump all mount to you're good to go. Talk about frustrating when you keep finding bolt after bolt when trying to pull the thing off after every one you keep on finding!
