My 96 psd ran fine yesterday, sat through a cold night and a fairly cold day. When I went to start it this afternoon the #22 fuse, in the underhood fuse box was blown. I plugged in the block heater (for about 45min), installed a new fuse and same thing happened. The fuse controls the fuel line heater, the glow plug controller and the powertrain control system relay coil. Any ideas where a guy would start as far as finding the short? We got our first snow yesterday, could it be just a moisture thing? Any ideas would help.

On the drivers side of the fuel bowl just below the pressure regulator there are two plugs, unplug the uppermost of the two, That's the connection for the heater.
Here's a pic: Depending on what year your truck is you may or may not have the top wire on the regulator, just enplug the 2nd from the bottom. Its a spade connector, pop it off with a flat screwdriver.
