It has started to get cold here in Boston and I've noticed that when I start my truck, the belt will squeal very loud. I took it in for service today and there was a bulletin about this. They are replacing the belt and pulley tomorrow. There was also a bulletin regarding the lights on trucks with the snowplow package, so they had to do a reflash of some sort to the light control module. I'm not sure on the details, but I will update when I pick it up tomorrow.
Do you know what the number on the bulletin is?? I had mine to the dealer several months ago and they said they were investigating the problem and they would get back with me, but they never have.......
I just got off the phone regading my truck being in the shop for this same problem. I don't have a bulletin number, but the service folks said they have an updated bulletin that says the Idler Pully is what has been identified as causing the problem. I had it there before for the same problem and they replaced the Outer Tensioner Pulley but that didn't help anything in case they try the same thing for ya'll.
