Hello fellow lovers of the 6.0
when I turn my key on I get 43 amps, I wait untill it gets back to 48 amps. I start my truck and then it drops back to 43 amps and slowly climbs back to 48. I know I need the ficm repaired asap but what else am I killing? It also seems to start better in the cold, 30 and below?
I emailed Ficmrepair.com and I got no response, so who else should I send it to? I live in Boston Ma, so if anyone lives close by and has a great diesel guy I'd love to have his name as well. Thanks for the help and reading my .
I'm surprised that you haven't gotten a response from Ed. How long ago did you email him? AFAIK he is a one man operation and may take him a bit to answer an email as he has to receive, repair, and ship everything he does. Give him a chance. His customer service is quite excellent.
I don't see any unread emails in my account...maybe it got tossed into the SPAM folder or got lost in the bit bucket? Regardless, feel free to reach out to me via PM if your messages to ed@ficmrepair.com aren't getting through. I'm just glad I came across this thread!
Big thanks to npccpartsman for having my back here!
