Ford is usually really bad about pricing parts like that. If you bought the power fold/extend mirrors when you ordered the truck they are only a $370 option, but if you buy them after you already own the truck you get hosed.
They do the same thing with the integrated trailer brake, upfitter switches, and many other items.
Nissan does it to. When I bought my Titan the tow package was $400. That got you lower gears, trans temp gauge, extendable towing mirrors, and the hitch. The hitch by itself is $200 and the mirrors are $400. It's ridiulous what the mark up is. I am curious what it actually cost to make those mirrors? does anyone make a replacement mirror (the glass part only) that has an integrated turn signal for the standard tow mirrors?
