Truck is an 00 F250 PSD 4x4. Front and rear springs. I need new shocks and was also thinking about a mild lift. I know some people have done the 2.5" Leveling kit from RC. I was thinking maybe a 3" lift. Something Mild...I only have 285s. What are some of my options?
I found this.....Only thing is it is extended hangers and I have heard those aren't a good way to go.
Well if your truck sits level how you like it now, then a levelking kit alone will give a sag-azz look. The RC leveling kit (i have) and the 4" (3.5") rear blocks will give a nice 2" lift and will still keep axlewrap to a minimum. If you are loaded and have sag, then you can do an add-a-leaf to increase capacity. Don't do add a leaves all the way around. I rode in Jtharvey's truck with all four corners done and boy was that a harsh ride.
Thanks Kris. I want the truck to be up a little more in the air is all, not much more. So what you are saying is to do the RC Leveling kit and get the F350 rear blocks and U bolts then? If I put another leaf in the rear springs, would that help with axlewrap? I hardly tow much except the quad, but no big trailers or campers....yet
I thought you put a different lift on your truck...or were your stock wheels that small Just kiddin.
I was thinking that would probably get me to where I want to be. Anybody else done this? Any pictures??
LOL I agree Tenn...I dont want the sag-azz look either
I have the Tuff Country add a leaf kit on my 350. It raised the front 1.75'' which is just about right, because now when I load it everything sets level. The ride is very good, not mushy like before. If you can get some 350 rear blocks and and this kit I think you will like the results. I was able to put 315's on without any problem.
I do like that...thanks! Does anyone have the Rough Country kit with Hydro 8000 shocks and like the way those ride?
What about steering stabilizer? Track bar bracket? bumpstops?
Did anybody replace theirs?
I found a kit from rough country with all new front spring packs, dual front 8000 shocks, dual steering stabilizer, and rear shocks for $660 shipped.
Other one I found is new packs with single front shocks for $340 (I still need rear shocks though) so probably add another $85 onto that so around $425.
I guess is the dual front shocks and stabilizer worth the extra $200+??

do you have any rubbing issues at full turn or at full compression with that set up?

It rubs a little on the inner plastic wheel well liner. I took the factory splash guards off and used ones that fit flat in the wheel well and that gained me a litle more clearance.
