So....in just looking at the truck and wondering....I thought:
Is it possible to build a 4WD / 4-Wheel Steer Truck by, say, replacing the DANA 60 RA I have with a DANA 44 or 60 FA? I imagine some gear replacement in the diff would be needed, along with a new driveshaft....but could the "rear" steering be handled purely by the Power steering piston system? Or would a "hard link" of some sort be required?
The best option might be going to a junk yard and finding a GMC truck that came with the 4 wheel drive system on it and take that off. I am almost sure that they used a hydro system. But i have been thinking about this for a while also.
