Control valve

Thanks for the website been there already, I modified the control valve with a washer. The spring in the control valve was a little weak so I added a washer and it work better !! For now until can afford another control valve.

That's a temporary fix and it will work, for awhile.... but I would of recommended just rebuilding the control valve since you already had it apart.

Power Assist P/S only installed in 4WD's, so there's no such thing as a 2WD rebuild kit.

Bendix Power Assist: 1974 F250 4WD from serial number T80,001, 1975/76 F250 4WD, 1977 F250 4WD before serial number Y20,001 (all High Boys).

Well my washer fix was short lived, blew the supply line, had a new one made, removed the washer, now it steer's fine turning right but steering to the left is harder!!? Waiting for a rebuild kit! Just hope it holds together until it shows up?

It'll hold up, you'll just have "manual" steering when turning left and power steering when turning right.

Though I would keep driving to a minimum until the rebuild kit arrives.
