I am looking at the Scangage II with blend mount for my 04 F250 gas. I mainly want trans temp for snowplowing this winter, but will also use the fuel mileage and other info. I have also looked at the Dash Hawk but it is about $100 more and has no type of mount that I could find. What are you using and why? Any other products that I should consider?
The Dashhawk can use the same mount as the Edge Attitude/Evolution programmers. Autometer 13001 I think. I have one in my truck and I am very happy with it.
However, MSD has stopped R&D on the product so there won't be any more upgrades to it. I believe the Edge Insight (which is pretty much the exact same thing as MSD owns Edge) still has people working on the software for it, but I think it concentrates more on the Deisel engines.
I have the Scangauge 2 with blendmount from MGT on my 04' 6.8l. I routed the wire in the trim so you can't see it. It works great and shows a lot of data. Use the add-a-gauge codes to expand on what you can monitor with the gauge. Well worth the $$$.
