1990 Drl

I need to install Daytime Running Lights in my 1990 F250. I went to the wreckers and got a module and harness from a 1990. On my truck there is nowhere to plug the module into. On the truck I got it from it plugged into the wires by the horns. Ive followed the wires both ways from the lights and found nothing. Do I need to splice the harness I got into my existing wires?

Why do you need DLRL? Just curious....

Before I cut into the harness I'd go back to that donor truck and get that section of the head light harness from it, same truck? so it would plug in and be weather tight. Solder and tape works yea but them stock plugs are so much better, and may prove to be easier.

Need them here in Canada, its the law. I recently imported the truck from the US. On the donar truck there was nowhere to unplug the harness, it was wired in. From everything I've read, my truck should have a plug for the module.

I looked through the lighting wiring diagram for that year, nothing shown for daylight lighting in my book. No fuse shown for em either.

You probably already looked at your fuse box looking for one marked daylight lighting, perhaps marked "not used"?

I'd run a new setup before I hacked into the harness. Using a relay and connect them to constant power key On source leaving the head light wires alone. If it doesn't have the wiring for it in the head light harness there will be nothing there with constant power key on anyway to tap into.

There is on newer 92 up trucks I think the plug that is. But I got a truck from Canada while back that I parted out and there are differences between the US and Canada Harneses. You can put a jumper in headlight switch. I did it so my Running lights are alway on. Ask Skandocious Hes the wiring guru .
