QE44805, followed with a star. This number is located on the top of the block. It is stamped into the intake manifold deck on the passenger side towards the back of the block. The engine is a C1BA. Can I find out any information from this number?

Hi, im trying to figure out the serial number on this Ford Flat head that I have out of a 55 ford truck. All I can find on the back where the transmission bolts is these numbers. 38E:4 . Is there a different set of number somewhere else?

Mine too is stamped simliar - QE22958 ending with a star stamp. Block also moulded with "C1BA" on top of bell hosing. Really keen to find what the "QE" stands for.
