We are new to the Flathead World.. Our question is ,We are putting a C4 Automatic behind our 1952 Flathead and we bought the Speedway Motors Kit to adapt it to the engine and needed to find out if we can attach the transmission to the block and put it in all at one time. An Old Timer told us it would crack the block thanks
will be fine, it's the older 59AB blocks that break easy. Your block should have 7/16" NC cap screws at least four to hold adapter on to engine. Laurie
Engine and trans can be slipped in as one, flatheads are heavy, make sure you have good mounting points to lift it with, a good chain, and an engine leveler helps too.
