I have a 95 f-350 crew cab auto running 35's 180,000 miles, AFE intake, superchips programmer (in tow-safe). Recently installed DP and 4" exhaust. (gauges in the mail).
Took the truck out this weekend duck hunting, pulling a 14' aluminum boat. I got out on the freeway and noticed that the truck could not find a gear. running 55-60 and the truck was slamming in and out of gear could not cruise below 2500 rpms. normally runs 70+ right around 2000 rpms. I went about 5 miles like this before exiting the freeway. When I came to a stop and started limping it again to get off the road the truck slammed into 2nd so hard I thought the tranny fell out. Also noticed the the OD light started flashing. Turned off the truck and restarted. Like it never happened. OD light not flashing, checked fluids -ok, Limped around for awhile shifting normally so I got back out on the freeway and ran perfect. 65 MPH at 1900.
What happened? Could the added power of the DP send it into limp mode? I am planning on changing the fluid as soon as possible, however 4 days of daily driving so far like it never happened.
the grey one works on our trucks, right. I saw it mentioned several times by searching it. thanks for the link, I found the same one you posted previously.
